Training and Workshops
OULS seeks to support all our readers in their use of our resources through a variety of training opportunities.
Choose from:
- WISER Workshops to see the programme for the current term. OULS offers regular Workshops in Information Skills and Electronic Resources (WISER) open to all members of the University, specifically intended for researchers, academic staff, librarians and research students.
- WISER Archive to see copies of presentations and handouts from previous workshops
- Training Archive to see material from other training events
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate to see induction and information skills provision for specific taught courses.
- Open to All for a range of training events offered by subject librarians throughout the year.
- Visiting Students for information on induction arrangements.
- Information for Disabled Readers if you need advice.
- Support for assistance in locating OULS subject librarians, information about specific libraries and our Ask an Oxford Librarian service.
- Other Training to find out what is available from other training providers in Oxford University.

We aim to:
- Ensure all our readers are given a clear and helpful introduction to the Library services as appropriate to their needs.
- Ensure all members of the University and its libraries are offered effective support and guidance in identifying and using appropriate information resources.
- Develop and promote information expertise as a general and transferable skill for students and researchers of the University at levels appropriate to their needs.
